TELEGRAPH AVE. USA CHRISTMAS
A street this teeming with “street people” shouldn’t dim Christmas day, but dim it did.
Where have all the hippies gone?
Perhaps to People’s Park.
Although a few businesses were open (Top Dog, as usual) a coffee house near Cal, the Tarot guy and two head shops–Christmas action moved to People’s Park at its major attraction, Hate Camp.
Berkeley Reporter makes it a point to cover the void.
If you can’t see the forest through all the trees, you will have a clear view of Telegraph Avenue when the trees move out.
Our Christmas photo-essay tries to capture the Telegraph holiday let-down.
